Floral & Botanical Design
Ceremony installations, reception centrepieces, bouquets, and botanical accents — briefed to a florist selected for their alignment with your concept and sourced from Ontario growers in season.
Bespoke Event Design
From the ceremony arch to the escort card display, we design environments that feel considered, layered, and entirely yours.

A wedding environment is not assembled from trending elements — it is built from a concept.
Event design at Swiftylumen begins with a concept document, not a Pinterest board. We interview you about the moments, places, textures, and colours that move you — the way light looks through amber glass, a grandmother's embroidered tablecloth, a particular wildflower meadow in Ontario — and from those responses, we build a visual brief that becomes the creative constitution for every vendor we brief. The result is a wedding environment where the invitation suite, the ceremony installation, the tablescapes, the lighting design, and the cake all speak to each other without feeling matchy or forced. We source florals from Ontario growers where possible, work with independent artisans for paper goods and signage, and specify furniture and textile rentals that suit your palette rather than defaulting to banquet-hall inventory.

Each element is designed as part of a whole, never in isolation.

Amber-gold candlelight, warm Edison filament overheads, strategic uplighting — we specify lighting that flatters both guests and photography, and brief the AV or rental provider accordingly.
Invitation suites, menus, place cards, ceremony programs, and day-of signage — all designed within the concept's typographic and colour system, working with independent Toronto print artisans.
Linen selection, lounge furniture, specialty tableware, and decorative props sourced from rental partners who carry pieces beyond the standard folding-chair-and-round-table inventory.
“I am a graphic designer and I was anxious about handing over any creative control. Swiftylumen sent me a twelve-page concept document before touching a single vendor brief, and it was more precise than briefs I write for clients myself. The reception felt like walking into a room that had been imagined specifically for us — warm amber light, dried botanicals, velvet ribbons, pressed botanicals in the menus. Exactly right.”

Design direction is a creative and logistical service — not a guarantee that every item will be within every budget.
Bespoke event design is not a fixed-price service because no two weddings have the same scope of decorative elements. We work within a budget framework you set at the outset and are rigorous about tracking design spend against it. Where a design choice exceeds the allocated budget, we present alternatives rather than proceeding without your knowledge. Our design fee covers concept development, vendor briefing, sourcing, and on-site installation direction — the cost of florals, rentals, paper goods, and lighting equipment is passed through to you from the respective suppliers at their quoted rates. We do not mark up supplier costs. We are also clear that highly trended elements — dried pampas grass, preserved flower walls, neon signs — are subject to higher rental demand and cost fluctuation, and we will always give you an honest comparison of alternatives.
Bring us an image, a word, a memory, or nothing at all — the design conversation starts wherever you are.
